Biography:    Alice Lamb Aikin was born in 1862 in Townville, PA to parents John Beatty Lamb (1838 – 1903) and Elizabeth Palm Lamb (1838 – 1923). Her first marriage was to Leon Culver (1855 – 1905) on August 21, 1887. She had two biological children with Leon: Eva (1889 – 1938) and Earl (1892 – 1947).

In 1912, seven years after Leon’s death, she married Cortes E. Aikin. Cortes died on September 6, 1926. The twice-widowed Alice moved to Olean, New York to spend the rest of her life with her daughter Eva Culver Rumph. She joined her late husband in death on December 20, 1926.
